DJ websites built to get you booked
Your own home for music and bookings
A promoter might discover you through a clip, a recommendation or a lineup announcement. Your website gives that interest somewhere useful to go. They should be able to hear your sound, understand the events you suit and find your booking details without searching through weeks of social posts. Strydes builds DJ websites around those decisions, with your artist identity leading the design.
Based in Cape Town, we work with DJs and artists across South Africa. This specialist service sits alongside our business websites, e-commerce and automation work. The aim is a professional presence and a simpler enquiry process. Your website supports the work you already do to build an audience and relationships; it cannot guarantee a place on a lineup.
What belongs on a DJ website
Start with a short, current bio. Tell a booker who you are, what you play and where you are based. Add a longer biography only where it helps. A small selection of representative mixes is more useful than an unfiltered archive. Embeds can sit alongside direct listening links, so a visitor can still reach your music if a player fails to load.
Use press shots you have permission to publish, with an easy way to request or download approved files. Your electronic press kit should match the current bio and booking contact. Upcoming shows can include confirmed dates, venues and official ticket links. Past performances should be labelled clearly, so an old event never looks like an upcoming booking.
A booking form should ask for the details that help you respond: event date, venue, location, organiser contact and the type of performance. If terms need acknowledgement, put readable terms beside the checkbox. An enquiry is a request for availability, not a confirmed performance. Deposits, final fees and rider requirements can be agreed after you review it.
Design for the person booking you
Bookers often compare several artists and share their recommendations with someone else. A clear page title, readable bio and obvious booking link make your site easier to pass along. Mobile layouts matter because the first visit may happen between meetings or while someone is discussing an event on their phone.
The visual direction should still feel like you. Typography, colour, photography and spacing can communicate your identity without hiding the useful information. We keep the route to a booking request visible and avoid making a visitor wait through an introduction before they can read your name or hear your work.
Choose a useful starting package
Starter Presence starts at R2,500 for a focused professional introduction and contact journey. The Professional Site starts at R7,000 and suits artists who need more detailed pages and structured booking enquiries. An Automation System starts at R12,000 when a dashboard, database or connected email workflow is part of the job.
Growth & Protection starts at R1,500 per month, with a three-month minimum only if you choose that plan. The written proposal confirms exactly what is included, payment stages and any external service costs. A package is a starting point for scope; it is not a promise that every possible feature fits into the starting price. Tell us what slows you down and the quote can prioritise that work.
See the approach in real artist projects
The portfolio includes Kurt April, Gheko, DJ Phee and The Challenge. Their presentations differ because their identities differ. The case studies explain the artist pages, booking journeys and administration described in the project records. They also link to the live sites, so you can explore the experience yourself before choosing a direction.
Bring references that show what you like, but also explain why. You might prefer an easy-to-scan bio, a prominent mix or an uncluttered enquiry form. Those practical preferences are more useful than copying another artist’s visual identity. Your site should give your own work a clear setting.
From a brief to a site you can share
Send your name, email and closest project type to start. Music links, an existing EPK and an outline of your booking process help, but you can provide them later. Expect a reply within one business day, a quote in 1 to 2 days once the scope is clear, and a typical build of 3 to 5 weeks.
Before launch we review mobile layouts, links, content and the enquiry journey. You should know where requests arrive and what a visitor receives after submitting. From there, keep your website link in your social bio, email signature and press material, so the people who discover your music can find the same current information.
